The Police Department building is located at 811 Pine Drive in Surfside Beach. The Police Department is the law enforcement component of the Surfside Beach Department of Public Safety.
The Police Department consists of 21 full-time sworn officers and 3 part-time officers. The majority of these officers are assigned to uniform patrol. A number of officers handle specialized assignments such as criminal investigations, narcotics investigations, and transportation. There are also numerous civilian employees assigned to communications, victim services, and beach services.

The Police Department provides full law enforcement services to the community. These services include neighborhood patrols, beach patrol, criminal investigations, traffic enforcement, and victim advocacy.
